Seven Days In Utopia

The film follows the story of Luke Chisolm, a talented young golfer set on making the pro tour. When his first big shot turns out to be a very public disaster, Luke escapes the pressures of the game and finds himself unexpectedly stranded in Utopia, Texas, home to eccentric rancher Johnny Crawford. But Johnny's more than meets the eye, and his profound ways of looking at life force Luke to question not only his past choices, but his direction for the future.

Linking God and golf leads nowhere

If I understand “Seven Days in Utopia,’’ some guys spend their entire day thinking about golf, and God thinks those guys are crazy. They should be thinking about Him. So when the rageaholic professional golfer Luke Chisolm (Lucas Black) receives golf tips from an old codger (Robert Duvall), we’re not to be fooled: These are really the Lord’s life lessons. But any movie that instructs us, as this one does, to visit a website to find out how its final scene ends is the opposite of Lordly.
