The Boston Globe: "The Natick Collection stretches definitions of mall dining with real restaurants, namely branches of Chestnut Hill's Metropolitan Club and Boston's Sel de la Terre. Natick's Met Bar & Grill is on the rowdy side, Sel de la Terre is civilized. Met Bar has great burgers, Sel de la Terre great steak frites. Both fall short of the standards set by their parent establishments; nonetheless, both are above-average mall eateries. Inside the Natick Collection, there is a "grove" of fake birch trees."

We have been to the Met several times and have always enjoyed it including on Valentines Day. Then two weeks ago we were there on Saturday night and there were 5 of us in the party. The service was horrible, when we tried to customize a burger the waiter told us no, instead of having us "build our own". He was extremely slow, rude and then the kicker...he knocked a glass of ice water into my 4 year olds’ lap. We had to take his pants off at the table and wrap him in a jacket. It was terrible and all they did was give us a free appetizer.
We go out to dinner frequently (a couple of times/week) and are at the mall often but I will never, ever go there again. My sister, who was also with us that night was going to spread the word at a large local corporate office that she works at in the area.
I have had bad experiences at restaurants before and the manager has always made amends and we always give them another chance. The Met had their chance and blew it.
Very Dissatisfied Diners
