Pie Bakery & Cafe

Walked with a friend into a nice looking place - Pie Bakery in Newton Center.
First thing I was wondering - why its empty, but food looked good and WiFi was free (as we thought), so we set down.
After 5 minutes we got an angry comment from the owner, angry looking women, that mentioned that WiFi is only for PAYING customers, which was an unusual comment, but made sense.
We planned to eat in the first place, so we ordered food immediately, for $18 to be exact.
While eating we kept working on our laptops, and after 20 more minutes the waiter came over and
said that "he is sorry but this place is not for work", he was very embarrassed, and it was clear that the owner made him ask us to leave.
So, I came over to the counter and clarified that we are not planning to stay forever, and asked, can we work for 20 more minutes, to finish few email.
The answer was "yes", and 2 minutes later the WiFi was SHUT DOWN!!!

WOW....THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE YOU CAN FIND E IN NEWTON.

We got a whole apple cranberry crumble pie that was still warm when we brought it home. It was really the best pie ever. Can't wait to try another one.

Myself and 3 friends made a special trip out to the Pie Bakery from Cambridge after reading some position reviews - we were really looking forward to some good fruit pies, and supposdley we'd have a number of varities to choose from. When we arrived around 2pm they told us they were "out" of all their sweet pies except for one cream pie, even though we saw that they had several others in their open baking area supposedly waiting for somebody else. After some questioning they said they did have one apple pie, but it was too hot for us to have even though it'd been cooling for an hour (was it coming straight from the center of the sun perhaps?). Further questions yielded no results - they basically made it clear we weren't getting any pie. We did end up trying some other things, a cookie, sheperd's pie, a muffin, all of which were nothing special. I guess that there's always room for pie, but its incredibly disappointing when mid-way through the business day, there's no pie to be had. We WON'T being going back. This place isn't worth the trip.
