Matthew Shipp

Matthew Shipp was one of the most vital and inventive jazz pianists to emerge in the 1990s. Delaware-born Shipp came to New York after graduating from Berklee, and played with David S. Ware and Roscoe Mitchell, among others, before becoming known as a solo artist.
