Urge Overkill

Urge Overkill played strong, tight rock very much in the vein of their fellow Chicago indie-rock cohorts. However, whereas many Windy City bands opted for noisy intensity, Urge Overkill sported 1970s power-pop hooks and an over-the-top lounge lizard image (which included velvet smoking jackets, gold medallions, and martinis) to set them apart from the crowd.
