Dominic Cooper

British actor Dominic Cooper had only been acting professionally for a few years when he found mainstream success both in the United States and abroad.

Born in Greenwich near London, England, Cooper knew he wanted to be a performer from a young age. He attended the Thomas Tallis School, a specialist arts college, and graduated in 2000 from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

On TV, Cooper has had notable roles in the BBC mini-series Sense and Sensibility, as well as Down To Earth. With six films set for a 2008 release, including Mamma Mia! (2008) and The Duchess (2008), Cooper's star seems to be solidly on the rise.
