J.D. Souther

Though he lacked any major chart hits and never achieved blockbuster albums sales, John David "J.D." Souther was one of the key figures of the 1970s Los Angeles country-rock movement. He was part of the duo Longbranch Pennywhistle with future Eagle Glenn Frye, and later a member of the Souther-Hillman-Furay Band, a supergroup put together by David Geffen.
