Payment Type: Accepts Visa and MasterCardKam Man Marketplace, the plaza where Vietnamese restaurant Pho Yuen Dong is located, is home to an Asian supermarket, clothing stores, beauty parlors, bubble tea kiosks, gift shops, herb shops, and more. When these establishments start to close, staff and patrons find themselves with an appetite. Pho Yuen Dong is there for them with a long list of dishes. We sampled many of these, but in our visits we rarely saw another customer order an entree that wasn’t a giant bowl of noodle soup. That’s because the soup here is really, really, bowl-lickingly good. From pho ga (chicken with rice noodles) to bun bo Hue (five spiced beef brisket with udon noodles), each kind is a standout. Still, it’s worth branching out to sample the excellent crispy spring rolls, banh xeo (a.k.a. Vietnamese pancake), pho xao (similar to pad Thai), and bun (vermicelli) dishes. Follow the crowds when the stores close; whatever you order, it’s hard to go wrong. (Devra First, Globe staff | September 14, 2006)
