Bangkok Cafe created a buzz when it first opened in Foxborough, MA in 1992. Owner Raungdet Titisuttikul, known as Danny, opened a second Bangkok Cafe in Roslindale Village in April of 2005. Bangkok Cafe is nestled in the heart of Roslindale Village, facing Adams Park. Bangkok Cafe features Thai cuisine with an emphasis on healthy, fresh and flavorful ingredients. This healthy menu has now expanded to cover Pan-Asian dishes that encompass Singapore, Malaysia, India, Japan, Vietnam, and China. A number of Bangkok Cafe’s dishes have recently been qualified by the Boston Health Department’s program “Boston BestBites” that encourages restaurants to add nutritious menu options to promote a healthier lifestyle to diners.
Although the menu is extensive, Bangkok Cafe has some delicious specialties that should not be missed: Singapore noodles, mango curry, shrimp mermaid, Pink Panther, Lemongrass Chicken – which are all made to order, and can be prepared as mild or spicy as desired. The menu tops off with a selection of homemade desserts, beer and wine, featuring Singha Thai Beer and Thai Lotus white wine. A special children's menu is available as well.
Bangkok Cafe Roslindale accepts the Boston Community Change Card, and is a member of the Rewards Network that provides frequent flyer miles to holders of participating credit cards. The restaurant is currently in the process of obtaining a live entertainment license, so that it may hold events that include Thai classical dancing and other demonstrations of Thai culture. The restaurant hosts displays by local artists, as organized by Roslindale Village Main Street.
Bangkok Cafe is the only premier Thai restaurant in Roslindale Village, convenient to public transportation and public parking. The restaurant is opened for lunch Tuesday through Sunday from 1130am to 3pm; dinner: Tuesday through Thursday & Sunday 3pm-9pm, Friday and Saturday 3pm-10pm, closed Mondays. Bangkok Cafe offers catering as well.
