Altcom! Alternative Comedy Fest

Although "Altcom" sounds like a sci-fi convention where people might show up dressed like characters from "Battlestar Galactica," it's short for "Alternative Comedy Fest."

The event, which is Friday and Saturday night at the Somerville Theatre, is Galactica-free (as far as I know). Friday, you can see Emo Phillips, Todd Barry, doktor cocacolamcdonald, and the always dry and ridiculous Eugene Mirman. Saturday, the lineup features Patton Oswalt, Morgan Murphy, Jim Jeffries, and our hometown boys, the Walsh Brothers.
