The Washington Post got it right: "If Neko Case, Madeleine Peyroux, and Billy Holiday had a baby girl who grew up to front a rockabilly band, she'd probably sound a lot like Eilen Jewell." We saw the Boston-based roots rocker in Cambridge, and after we stopped staring at her fabulous cowboy boots, we couldn't take our ears off her sultry vocals and luscious lyrics. Jewell shares the bill with the Sacred Shakers of Jason Beek (drums, harmony vocals), Jerry Miller (electric, acoustic, and steel guitars), and Johnny Sciascia (upright bass). They will perform tracks from Jewell's new release, "Sea of Tears." -- June Wulff, Globe Staff
