REALLY

My husband & I are there almost every week, OK it stinks when the prices of lobsters sky rocket but its the same everywhere.
What I would like to know is how stupid can you be if you supposedly go there quite often and 98% of the time the service is bad. We have never had bad service, and sorry if the lady who works at the front desk doesn't bend down and kiss your feet but that's not what she's there for, do you have any idea who many people she sees a day. Oh and maybe your just not that friendly enough for her to bother to remember.
It certainly is not Mt. Vernon's loss that you have chosen not to go back there, I think they lucked out.

P.S. Best servers are Penny, Cathy and Mike.

I have nothing but the best service

I often go to the Mt. Vernon Warf in Revere and have at times gone to the Somerville location. I have had the best services, and yes sometimes the lobsters are not as good as they can be but the trick to that is sending it back. Wait staff are wonderful very attentive. I enjoy the piano player on Friday nights. Sometimes it is hectic and the hostess is rushed it may appear that they are not friendly, however they alway come over and say sorry I was so rushed is there anything I can do for you.
I especially like the 2 for 1 nights. Thursday the pork chops are huge; I always have to take some of the meal home. Imagine $19.00 for each person gets a salad whatever the special is with two sides then dessert. I roll out of there.

The Mount Vernon

My husband and 2 children go to the Mount Vernon in Somerville quite often. 98percent of the time the service is bad. My husband always tries to talk me out of going, but I keep going back in hopes that the next experience will be better. There is a lady who works the front at nights and is never smiling, nor does she ever remember us. It would be nice as a returning customer to at least be greeted properly. The lobster prices are great but 4 out of 5 times they are under cooked. I am a fan of the whole lobster, body, roe, tamale, yet by the time I get to the middle I realize that the roe is still black and mushy when it should have turned red if it was cooked long enough. It is a pain to always have to remind them to cook the lobster longer, and they look at me like i have 3 heads. One time a waitress told me that it will be over cooked if they add 5 minutes to it. However, I would rather it over cooked then undercooked. There is a tall man who is usually always there at night when we come. He may be a manager and is very friendly. Too bad they are not all like him. But sadly enough, My family and I finally have made the decision to give up on the Mount Vernon. This is the type of restaurant that you walk out of wondering why you just gave a 20 percent tip to the waitress who was hardly even there.
