If this place gets new staff and owners, they might make it. The food is good for the most part, but not what it should be for the prices. The waiter was playing hostess and spent considerable time finding a nice table for us, right in front of the kitchen door. The place was almost empty and we had a reservation specifically asking for a nice table. We waited for another table to be cleared and then had to ask for another setting for the the rest of our party. Meanwhile, the waiter disappeared and left other patrons who came in at the same time standing at the hostess stand wondering where everyone was. There is no place to sit and wait at the front door. The service was ok (except for the poured water that was slopped on the table in 2 of 3 glasses and not addressed) until we got to the end of the evening. We ordered dessert twice. It came via someone else who said enjoy and left. No plates or forks. Had to ask for those. Got up to go to the restroom, came back and could not get through the doorway to the dining room as 2 gentlemen of less than professional behavior were blocking it yakking. They were not patrons. So went through the bar. Went to leave and there were the same 2 guys plus another at the front walk smoking and yakking. We had to squeeze through as there was no other way to go. No acknowledgement, apology, or effort to move. Walked down the driveway to get to the car and there's a staff member standing at the kitchen door smoking. Same scenario on the way up the driveway coming in. Looks very low life.
Another friend said they went to the same place and the manager/owner kept bugging them and was tacky, sleazy and unprofessonial. They finally left. They had waited for quite some time for a table even though they had a reservation.

Went out with a group of us tonight to try Biagio's on Moody St in Waltham. We usually go to Stellina's in Watertown, but looked forward to an alternative. There were five of us, and the food varied. The salmon received good reviews, so did the roasted vegetable dish and the ravioli. The Mista Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette was a waste of money because except for the greens the salad had no taste of salad dressing whatsoever and I could not detect any Balsamic. The veal limone was tough and served with bland side dishes (mashed potatoes and vegetables) without noticeable seasoning whatsoever. While the surrounding/decor seemed interesting, the noise level in the main dining room was intolerable, even though the restaurant was not full, being a Monday night. It was very hard to have a real conversation, other than with the person sitting immediately sitting next to you. We heard it was better at the bar or on the rooftop! For now, I'll happily return to Stellina's for more reliable food and better environment for acoustics and conversation.

This place is great. It can get jammed on the weekends, but so does the rest of restaurant row. I always make reservations, since not having them at any decent restaurant is Chaos. I've always had decent service, but it could use a little upgrade, the decor lends itself to higher maintenance. I had the veal chop my last time and it was perfect. The wine prices are a little high, but I've never had a spoiled or corked serving. Biagio is almost always on the premises and there with a warm smile for old and new friends.

Last night my husband and I went to dinner at Biagio's and it was amazing! Instead of trucking to the north end in Boston, we decided to try Biagio's and wow are we glad we did! The Eggplant appetizer was unbelievable and I will definitly go back for more! What impressed me the most was the attentive service and obvious attention that the owners gave to the customers. What restaurant can you go to that the owner asks you how your experience is???
We will definitly go back and tell all of our friends!

I met up with a bunch of the guys, and we had a great time eating at the bar watching the Sox. The bartender Jill is attentive and the chicken parm dish is a hearty size with delicious gnoccis. The bar is comfortable and there is a fun crowd of people. I willdefinitely be back to check out the lounge as well.

Had to retreat to the 'burbs a few weeks ago when we were unable to find parking in or around the North End for our reservations. Another Italian place down the street was booked, so we decided to try something new. We were seated promptly on a Sat. evening without calling ahead, and they were rather busy. Service was slow to start, but our waiter was excellent and well worth the delay. Menu somewhat limited IMO but the specials were very intriguing and everything we had was delicious although not mindblowing. The wine list starting at >$40 seemed ill-matched to the very reasonably priced entrees.

Birthday night for my best friend. On the deck and had to wait for over 45 minutes for water and drinks. Asked 4 times but was told there was "computer issues". I didn't know a computer pours water. Finally asked for the manager and again waited. Then they stood there ...very unprofessional. After such a horible experience they only gave us $15.00 worth of drinks. I will never go back!

Visited Thursday night. Waitress Nancy recommended two entres, one veal and one chicken w/eggplant. Out of this world. Antipasto was great and best of all exceptional value for all we received. Can't wait to return. (next week)

My fiancee and I went in last Thurs night and had a great evening. We had drinks at the downstairs bar first, loved the pomegranate martini and then ate dinner in the main dining room which was beautiful. Sea scallops were delish and portions were good size. I am looking forward to having an upscale/casual place on Moody St., about time! Reservations on the weekend are definitely recommend, and I am going back with the girls from work for drinks this Fri., great location

was completely shocked by the dining experience that I had at Biagio's. My husband and I went to the restaurant without a reservation on a Friday night. We were told the wait would be about 30 minutes, but 30 minutes turned into an hour before we were seated. The hostess kept "losing" her waiting list and had trouble keeping track of who should be seated next. Once seated, our server was prompt, bringing water, drinks, etc., but our bread basket was a very long time in coming, and needless to say, we were very hungry by this point. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan and my husband ordered the Veal Parmesan. When the dishes came out we were starved and dived right in. About a quarter of the way through his dish, my husband realized that he was not eating veal, but chicken--they had mixed up our dishes. I don't eat veal-ever. I am totally against it and was revolted to realize that I had taken several bites of it without realizing it. My husband called over the waiter and had him take the dishes back to the kitchen. The waiter came back with new, correct dishes a few minutes later, but they were barely lukewarm. Now we were both very upset. This time we called the manager over and explained the situation, asking if he could perhaps compensate us in some way for their mistake. He said he would see what he could do and left the table. The waiter then came back and said the manager had offered to buy us drinks. By then, my husband and I just wanted to leave, and asked could he just remove the one glass of wine I had already ordered from the bill. The waiter said he would check with the manager. The manager then came back to the table and began berrating us stating that he never takes anything off the bill and if we didn't want a drink, then too bad. We were completely mortified, stunned, and angry. We paid the bill, and as we left we asked the name of the belligerent manager. Turns out it was none other than the owner, Mr. Biago himself!
