"Silence"

New Repertory Theatre is billing Moira Buffini’s ‘‘Silence’’ as a ‘‘dangerously sexy comedy’’ that weaves adventure with social politics, religion, even identity issues. It centers on the story of a passionate, feisty young noblewoman banished by the king and ordered to marry a little boy struggling to become a man.‘‘ ‘Silence’ salaciously
blends sex and politics in this Dark Ages meets New Age comedy,’’ according to artistic director Rick Lombardo. He directs, and Boston favorites Marianna Bassham and Lewis Wheeler star in this New England premiere.
