From the 1890s until his death in 1909, Frederic Remington created paintings, sculptures, illustrations, and writings that offered a compelling and vivid portrayal of the Wild West.

His images of dramatic horsemanship, frontier warfare, and bushwhacking adventure, set against a vast and foreboding landscape, captured the popular imagination.
